Coach Kenny Dupont joined the Holmes Community College Diamond Dogs Coaching Staff in 1996 as an assistant coach in charge of the pitchers, hitters and recruiting. During that season, the Dogs earned their first playoff trip to the NJCAA Region 23 Championship Tournament.
During Dupont's four seasons as assistant coach, the Dogs had winning seasons and earned two trips to the NJCAA Region 23 Championship Tournament. After leaving HCC, twenty of those players went on to play for universities and two were drafted into the Major league Draft.
Since Dupont became head coach in 2000, the Dogs have had 10 straight winning seasons with six trips to the NJCAA Region 23 Championship Tournament, and five trips to the MACJC State Championship Tournament. At the close of the 2001 season, the Diamond Dogs were ranked 20th in the NJCAA national baseball poll with an overall record of 34 - 11. The Dogs finished the 2002 season ranked 18th with a 34 - 15 record . During this time, the Bulldog Baseball program has had 62 players go on to play at universities or have been drafted or signed to play professional baseball.
The 2009 Bulldogs finished runner-up in both the MACJC State Championship and the Region XXIII Championship Tournament.
Prior to joining the HCC staff, Dupont served as an assistant baseball coach at George C. Wallace Junior College in Dothan, AL. under the legendary Coach Sammy Frichter. Then he served as Assistant baseball coach at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, LA. under Coach Mike Knight.
Coach Dupont has served as a baseball scout, for the Baltimore Orioles, conducting tryout camps since 1992 under Scouting Supervisor Mike Tullier.
Under the direction of Coach Dupont the HCC Baseball Program has won over 300 games since the 2000 season.
Dupont is a member of the Mississippi Coaches Association, American Baseball Coaches Association and the Crossroads Diamond Club.
A native of St. Bernard, Louisiana, Dupont now lives in Goodman. He and his fiance, Kim Gray, have four boys, Brister, Dixon, Hunter and Dawson.
Ryan Beggs, Assistant Coach

Assistant Coach Ryan Beggs begins his second year as assistant baseball coach for the Bulldogs. Coach Beggs came to Holmes from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College where he was the pitching coach. During his stint at Gulf Coast his team captured three South Division titles and six consecutive regional appearances. Thirteen pitchers went on to play DI, six pitchers DII, and four pitchers were drafted by Major League Baseball teams.
Beggs holds both a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in sports administration from the University of New Mexico. Playing for the University of New Mexico, NCAA Division I, Mountain West Conference from 1993-1998, he was selected Academic All-Conference player three times.
During the summers of 1999-2000 he was the pitching coach for the Harrisonburg Turks with his team winning the Valley League Title in 2000. From 1998-2002 he was the pitching coach for the University of New Mexico, NCAA Division I, Mountain West Conference.
During his summers from 2001-08 Beggs was the pitching coach for the Wareham Gatemen of the Cape Cod Baseball League. The Gatemen captured titles in 2001 and 2002. He coached numerous pitchers who were drafted by Major League baseball.
Beggs and his wife, Abby, have a daughter, Emerson Paige Wylde Beggs, 1. They reside on the Goodman Campus of Holmes.
