Browning, who was making his ULM debut, retired all eight Ole Miss batters he faced to close out the game as the Warhawks defeated the Rebels 6-5 to hand them their first opening day loss since 1981. The two batters he struck out in the seventh, David Phillips and Zach Wilson, were a combined 10-for-19 with three home runs and 10 RBIs in the series.
