Football Coaches

Danny Robertson, Head Coach

This year is Danny Robertson’s third season as head football coach for the Holmes Community College Bulldogs. Robertson served as offensive coordinator for the ’05 and ’06 football seasons. During the 2005-06 season, Robertson also served as volunteer football coach and assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s basketball programs as well as vocational counselor on the Goodman Campus.

Robertson received both a bachelor’s and master’s degree at Ole Miss in health, physical education and recreation and a master’s degree in secondary school counseling at Louisiana Tech. While at Ole Miss, he played linebacker from ‘78-’82. Robertson coached football at Louisiana Tech from 1996-2003 claiming North State Championships in ‘00 and ‘01, two region championships, and division championships in ’96 and ’97. Robertson’s teams made six semi-final appearances and eight playoff appearances. Robertson is also the former athletic director, football coach and counselor for Durant High School.

Robertson and his wife, Bronwyn, and their sons, Tanner, 9, and Brister, 4, live on the Goodman Campus.

Beginning his fifth season coaching for the Bulldogs is Kosciusko native, Tim Bell, who begins his second year as defensive line coach after serving two years as offensive line coach.

Bell attended Holmes in 97-98. At Holmes, he was named All-State both in 1997 and 1998. He was a NJCAA All-American 1998 as well as a JC Gridwire All-American and the Ras Branch Award winner the same year. In December 1998, he transferred to University of South Carolina, where he graduated in Dec. 2000, with a bachelor of science degree in marketing and management.

Eighth-year Holmes assistant Trac Baughn came to the Bulldogs with a rich coaching background that includes myriad assignments on both the secondary and college levels. The Ocean Springs native works with the defensive secondary and special teams.

On the college level Baughn coached at Delta State, Austin Peay and East Mississippi Community College. The Millsaps graduate received his master’s from Delta State University and has additional hours at Austin Peay. Baughn and his wife, Cindi, have two sons, Tanner, 12, and Will, 9.

Wade Henderson, Assistant Coach, Running Backs/Recruiting Coordinator

Former Holmes Community College standout Wade Henderson begins his third year at Holmes as an assistant coach in charge of running backs. Henderson was in charge of the linebackers the past two years. He coached linebacker – Derrick Bobo to 1st Team ALL State Honors and a spot on the Mississippi Junior College ALL Star Team in 2008.

The Ackerman native was an All-State offensive lineman for the Bulldogs in the 1980s serving most recently as the defensive coordinator at Richland High School. He has coached for 18 years, with 15 of these years in high schools in Mississippi and Alabama. He was head coach at Loyd Star, and served as Defensive Coordinator at Ocean Springs, Petal, Florence, Richland and an assistant at Columbus, Northwest Rankin and Sylacauga, Ala.

After leaving Holmes, Henderson, 42, played football at Southern Arkansas University and Millsaps College. After college, he played two seasons of minor league professional football in Gadsden, Ala., for the Alabama Raiders.

He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Mississippi State University. He also attended Millsaps College and Southern Arkansas University.

Henderson and his wife, Tammy, have one son, Magnum, 3.

J. Mike Misita, Assistant Coach, Offensive Line

Mike Misita begins his third year as a part of the Bulldog football coaching staff as offensive line coach. The Amite, La., native has served 10 years an assistant coach at Mississippi Delta Community College serving as offensive coordinator.

Prior to coming to the community college system, Misita served as head coach at Oxford Junior High School and a graduate assistant at Northeast La. University. He then served as offensive line/defensive line coach at five schools in Louisiana: Natchitoches, Ponchatoula, Jesuit, Destrehan and Brother Martin.

Misita holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from The University of Mississippi. Misita and his wife, Cindy, who is MTFP program director in The University of Mississippi Education Department, have two children, Joseph, 26, and Micah, 23, both students at Ole Miss.


Reginald Haralson, Assistant Coach, Wide Receivers/Strength and Conditioning

A graduate of Holmes and Belhaven College, Reginald Haralson begins his fourth season as an assistant football coach, working with the wide receivers.

Haralson has played semi-pro football for the Alabama Lightning and has also worked out with the Kansas City Chiefs and New Orleans Saints. He owns a sports business called Unleashed Sports Performance where he provides athlete conditioning He enjoys helping athletes improve in any aspect of their athletic ability or life situations in general. Haralson enjoys sports, weight training, and spending time with his family. He has a daughter, McKenzi, 1.
